I started this business when I was still in college
I was in college when I bought online for the first time. My first purchase was a deodorant and I saw that there are a variety of products available. That’s when I got the idea that I could also sell online. I studied the world of online selling and then took the leap in 2014, when I had just finished my first year of college. While I’ve sold earphones and personal care products as well in the past, I currently sell mostly stationery, the key product being gold-plated pens.
My business on Snapdeal is excellent – the best among all platforms
I decided to sell online because it expands my reach from the Chandigarh-Panchkula-Mohali Tri-city area to the entire country. Among all the online platforms where I sell, my sale is highest through Snapdeal. The order volume on Snapdeal is almost 20 times that on other channels! For the last 2 months, I have been clocking a sale of between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh per day. Of this, 70%-75% comes from Snapdeal!
My order volume has increased by 400% in the last 3 months
Within the last 2-3 months, I have seen an increase of 400% in order volume! Where I used to sell 5-10 units a day 6 months ago, I now sell 100-150 units a day. This is thanks to the excellent support from the account managers. The back-end team of Snapdeal is the best!
It feels great to see my brand grow on Snapdeal
My target is to sell 200 units a day, and I’m confident that I can easily reach that number through Snapdeal. We are also planning to boost our sales by advertising on Snapdeal. We’re expecting the sale to increase 4x – 5x as a result of this investment.
